English Reading and Spelling for the Spanish Speaker Book 2 builds upon the speech sounds, vocabulary, spelling, and comprehension skills developed in Book 1. As in Book 1, it uses a systematic structured approach to teach the English speech sounds for reading and spelling. It continues to provide practice with phonemic awareness, which is the ability to identify individual sounds and their order within words. Book 2 continues to present many of the small commonly used words, called sight words, that are often not phonetic. The word lists are in Spanish and English, and all the directions are in Spanish with English translations. There are 142 pages. Book size is 8 1/2 x 11 and soft covered.
